We're dried in!
No updates for a while because....well...our builder is slow - no news there! We finally got some much needed rain and it doesn't matter because....we are finally dried in! The metal roof went on last week and our gorgeous picture windows were finally put in. That has made way for insulation and the next step is drywall. It's finally going to start looking like a house inside!
We're also in the process of planning for utilities and will probably have to lose some trees to put the electric line in. We had initially planned to put an underground line from the existing pole in the cabin yard. But that's apparently far enough that it would require us to put in a transformer. So our choices are having that huge ugly box somewhere in the yard, or go overhead until we get to the treeline. That way the transformer will be up on the pole and not in the yard. Then we'll run it underground the rest of the way to the house. Jeez the stuff you learn while building a house!

| The inside view. You can also see where we'll be putting the woodstove. The living area and television will be on the right, the dining area on the left. |
